Sometimes a landscape bed just needs a reset. Old plants that have seen better days, stone that's gone thin or dull, edges that have lost their shape - it adds up. This is exactly the kind of work we do when a homeowner wants a clean, low-maintenance look without tearing everything out and starting from scratch.

Here's what we were working with - a front bed running along the house that needed new life. We brought in fresh 57 stone and worked it across the entire bed, getting full, even coverage from the foundation edge out to the border. The 57 stone is a great choice for beds like this. It drains well, stays put, and keeps that sharp, uniform look without a lot of upkeep.

We also added new plants spaced throughout the bed. A Japanese maple anchors the center, and low-growing evergreen shrubs are tucked in around it. The combination of the deep red foliage against the golden stone gives the whole bed a finished, intentional feel. It's the kind of curb appeal that you notice right away but looks natural - not overdone.

The edging along the lawn side runs a clean, curved line that separates the stone from the grass. That defined border is what keeps a bed looking tidy over time. Without it, stone migrates and the whole thing starts to look messy within a season.

This kind of landscape bed work sits squarely in our hardscaping services - stone installation, edging, and plant placement all working together. If your beds are looking tired or just need some attention, this is a straightforward upgrade that makes a real difference in how your property looks from the street.
